The Facade: A Beautiful Fusion of Tradition and Innovation
The exterior of Geetanjali Salon is as much a work of art as it is a gateway to a world of beauty. One of the most striking features of the facade is the intricate perforated screen, crafted from Corten steel. The inspiration behind this design element is deeply rooted in local art and culture. The screen features traditional patterns and forms native to the region, which have been reinterpreted in a contemporary design language. This harmonious blend of the old and new not only draws the attention of passersby but also invites them to pause and connect with the space.
The choice of Corten steel is intentional and symbolic. Over time, this material naturally develops a unique, weathered patina, which ages gracefully and adds character to the building. This slow transformation echoes the salon’s philosophy of embracing change and self-transformation.
