Metaverse has become a trend in architecture. The desire to update every inch of reality to digitalization digs a deeper foundation of our lifestyle in the digital environment. Digital reality is the algorithm of the metaverse, which has created a radical existence in the stability of architectural diversity. Technology has burgeoned the pace of design, construction, and delivery of massive infrastructure. The metaverse city is the enhanced and smooth version of technological advancement.

Many architects and architectural projects are designed and constructed with the database of metaverse inbuilt into it, For example. High-profile firms like Zaha Hadid Architects and massive projects like the Manchester Football stadium are exploring the idea and possibilities of designing in the metaverse and infusing the virtual experience into the real world. People are diving into the culture of virtual sensing of the physical world. Hence, they are investing real-life money to encounter digital plots for their leisure or commercial development.

Cyber-Urban Metaverse City

It is not only the architectural amenities that demand infusing the metaverse in new constructions. But metaverse has a noticeable impact on the Urbanization sector too. The planning of the city with the cyber algorithm creates a virtually-true experience of prestige lifestyle as compared to a conventional city. Zaha Hadid Architects have established a new benchmark in the genre of visualization and planning; with the upcoming trend, the architectural firm has created a Cyber-Urban Metaverse City named Liberland Metaverse.

The city is structured based on the Free Republic of Liberland- a micronation claimed by Czech politician Vit Jedlicka; with the development of the city on the disputed land between Croatia and Siberia, the city functions on the mixed hub of physical land statement and virtual realm as per the architects of ZHA. The principal architect of ZHA, Patrik Schumacher, delivered his idea on city planning and stated that – The ambition is for it to become the go-to site for networking and collaboration within the burgeoning web 3.0 industry, it’s the metaverse for metaverse developers and the crypto ecosystem at large. The idea of the new trajectory among the common people shows a positive response and the people owning the cryptocurrency have started investing in these virtual plots on land, inhabiting and accessing the digital building using their epitome. The inclination towards the maximum acceptance of the trend is that buying the plots on virtual land will allow people to establish their own business and lead to a commercial benefit on this piece of land. They will also gain stakes in the physical and actual Liberland, a place to have its cryptocurrency.

The question here; is about the media that serves the teleportation of the virtual world from the physical being. The mechanism of the city planning has a cloud-based platform resourcing the three-dimensional environment that enables access to the Liberland Metaverse, and this resource is Mytaverse. The infrastructure of the metaverse city includes the buildings and amenities such as the city hall, plaza, and exhibition center. Apart from this, all the structures are designed by the Zaha Hadid Architects team in the virtual city, empowered to have a networking and collaboration hub for the metaverse developers, crypto companies, crypto events, or projects, planned to accommodate over 600,000 citizens.

Parametricism: Zaha Hadid design rapport

The visual aesthetics of the city reflects the style of Zaha Hadid through its buildings. The land of the cyber forum is; molded with the futuristic form of the parametric and fluid dynamics in the facades and structural appeal. The city campus consists of a Liberland City Hall, a plaza – called DeFi Plaza, an incubator building – called DeFi Incubator, NFT Plaza, and Exhibition Building. Since the cyber city is the prototype of parametricism, it is developed with the help of algorithms and precision used in computer software, which has brought a revolution in Urban Planning practice in the physical world; the planning and modeling of three-dimensional structures do not have the boundary of authenticated rules and regulation mentioned in various laws and authorities.

The architects who worked on the mega project expressed their belief that the development of metaverse will burgeon the parametricism, as metaverse delivers a viewport to both clients and architects to analyze the experience of reality in the virtual realm in 360 degrees. The benefit of the virtual environment is its adaptive nature and global accessibility that reflects the digtal identical expression of the physical world that is easily adaptable to our human conception with the help of photo-realistic rendering of the actual scenic environment. Schumacher expresses his radical view of the future of the metaverse, and he states,-

“The metaverse will, in turn, accelerate the larger transformation” that fits the emerging world and global markets.
