Situated close to the Kagey Home facility at 1650 Harrison Street downtown, the visualization of this project is being funded through a General Obligation Bond in part that has been approved by Voters of Hollywood. As this is a community place for cultural and social interaction, the centre is made keeping in mind that it brings people closer to art culture and each other, also providing potential avenues for new, immersive experiences of art.

This 5,400-square-foot space for education is currently in the development phase and will be an abode of classrooms for music, dance, new media and visual arts, and will also house an outdoor courtyard.

Envisioned to be more than just a structural building, the arts education centre will link to the west side of the Kagey Home, establishing a “modern link to the two-story, circa-1924 Spanish Mediterranean facade of the Center’s contemporary galleries and administrative offices.”

As the team marks, this development is going to be the first project in the City’s plan to modernize, revamp and refurbish the capacity for its arts programming at the 1.2-acre Art and Culture Center/Hollywood site. The east side of the Kagey Home’s Future expansion will comprise the renovation of current gallery spaces and the construction of a new performing arts studio.
