Architecture and design themes are constantly altering in today’s world. Every hour, a new architectural or technological discovery or invention is revealed. It has always been a subject driven by basic human needs for shelter and protection. The architecture was adopted to represent power, wealth, and status during the middle stages of transition. However, as we approach the digital revolution, it is all about Technology, elegance, ease, and the reflection of time and humans.

Architecture developed from stone-age shelter buildings to the concrete jungles surrounding us. Technology, materials, and knowledge have all advanced dramatically. Diverse dynamics highlight this evolution. Man’s basic needs are at the heart of this dynamic. These necessities include food, water, shelter, and clothing. As time has passed, these features have expanded. The demand for clothing has radically altered the fashion industry. The desire for food has had a significant impact on influencing the perception of the culinary sector.

Architecture and design are both vital. One can only arrive at acceptable, helpful, and sustainable solutions when architecture and design are utilized proportionally. All these sectors have a design base where a process is followed. Architecture has gradually spread into various other industries based on this ideology. Many architects are currently working in the professional fields of the fashion business, chef, or technological development.

Architecture is a profession that requires extensive instruction in all fields. They must consider not only theoretical notions but also practical implications. The amount of talent and information that is polished in this subject is enormous. There is a design base in architecture where strategy and purpose are used to produce a structure in real life. Similarly, the other design sector uses concepts and purpose to build a specific product, which could be related to designing a new cuisine or a garment.

Have you ever noticed the link between architecture and fashion? About this fascinating topic, one may state that fashion is inspired by architecture, while architecture is inspired by other art and Technology. Even though architecture is sometimes misunderstood as simply designing buildings, architects can frequently extract design principles and successfully apply them to various professions.

Both fashion and architecture inspire some themes. Art, paintings, sculptures, and Technology, for example, have an impact on both. Without question, we see more and more of the impact of Technology in fashion shows and architecture with each passing year. From the creation process of the works to their presentation, we can feel the influence of art and Technology.

The title ‘Architect’, like the regard for an Artist, is open to interpretation. ‘Fashion is Architecture; it’s a question of proportions,’ Coco Chanel, a famous fashion designer, once stated. As craftspeople, they strive to translate their visions through texture, colour, and shape. The goal is beauty and durability, with an output that evolves and challenges the status quo. Many designers who studied and practised architecture, such as Gianni Versace, Tom Ford, Zaha Hadid, and Rem Koolhas, have launched themselves into the fashion industry.

Food is a powerful stimulant of imagination and creativity. As a result, it has always had a close link with design and the arts. Architects typically design eating accessories such as dishware, glasses, cutlery, dining tables, and seats. Thus it was unavoidable that they would eventually take on the cuisine itself. Comparisons between architecture and cuisine are reasonably popular, and some architects have taken them seriously.

Gregg Lynn, for example, has found inspiration in baking by associating “folded” structures with folding batter: Betty Crocker meets the blob. As both disciplines originated directly from local conditions, their commonalities can reveal strong linkages between culture and geography. Said culture is the evolution of basic human wants. As a simple shelter evolves into a spectacular structure and eggs into a soufflé, architecture is to shelter what culinary is to food: pleasure takes the place of necessity.

The food contrasts from region to region. The availability of ingredients, determined by climate, is the dominating factor. Different areas have different cuisines, which is valid for architectural structures. Different flavours can be enjoyed occasionally, but only the local staple cuisine is relished daily. So, in structures, diverse vernacular styles can be used anywhere, but the comfort level that comes with regional architectural features cannot be maintained. To make it acceptable, the ingredients must be altered and redefined to fit the palate of the locals.

Science and Technology are the foundational pillars of all disciplines in the age of the digital revolution. Nowadays, Technology has been integrated into every domain. It is a component of architecture and building engineering and is sometimes considered a separate discipline or sub-category. The industrial revolution of the nineteenth century gave rise to many technological advances that could deal with challenges and help reduce errors. Architecture has always been a technologically advanced sector. Science has always been involved in finding solutions to everyday concerns.

Architectural Technology is concerned with the various components of a building and their interactions; it is strongly tied to improvements in building science. Without Technology, we wouldn’t be able to create prominent skyscrapers or even little homes. Every aspect of architectural design and planning is infused with science and Technology. This purpose is to make the lives of both users and architects smoother.

Various design tools and software are used while planning and 3D visualizing any design concept. Technology also automates routine operations. One will save time as a result of this. VR technology is one such technology that has assisted architects in integrating virtual designs into the real world.

In today’s architecture industry, digital design software is critical. Companies have grown more than concept sketches, plans, and physical models. They want to see more detailed virtual representations. You may design interiors and populate your buildings using 3D modelling. Some even allow you to change lighting effects and account for how external factors affect a structure.

The design industry influences even the most essential aspects of people’s lives. They make our lives easier and more enjoyable. This industry has now grown into a broader industry. They have made life simpler for us to live and meet our necessities. This industry has aided in the evolution of societies on a greater level. And isn’t it all about the efforts, ideas, and basic needs?
