Virtual Games in Architecture Design: Architecture is the art of designing buildings/structures in different styles with respect to certain periods, times, places, or cultures. Architecture matters in both the real and the virtual world. In the real world, they want a building that is structurally stable but at the same time want some which function equally, and when it comes to the virtual world the gaming developers look into a building that looks aesthetically pleasing so it seems that the architect plays a very important role. When it comes to the virtual world architects are not restricted to a certain design and they can use all the creativity they have just to make things possible and happen beyond a certain level. But when it comes to reality there are a lot of things that we have been restricted to as we have to check if it’s possible practically or not. This pervasive phenomenon of architecture permeates nearly every frame of gameplay, deeply impacting player experience, which is one of the best background support mechanisms.

Rarely is there the kind of careful thinking and iterative design method towards a deeper, more powerful, and meaningful player experience? The style, design concept, and most impressive and carefully crafted castles in the different period of times or maybe a killer space or sometimes even the futuristic world that is been created, the bunkers designed in the war games are these are particularly designed based on the situations and the storyline of the game these are tiny details which is often not appreciated as much. Architecture can tell a story, evoke emotions, and shape player experience more effectively than any other aspect of the game. A designer can fulfill and satisfy all the needs of the user to design the game in such a way that the user will use it in the right way. Architecture can be an aspect of your game you leverage to help choreograph the way a player understands and moves through the game.

Frank Lloyd Wright was a master of juxtaposing low, dark spaces, taller spaces with great effect. He believes instead of a heroic foyer at the entrance he has structures wherein his entrance is into a darker space and as they enter these spaces tend to give in more natural light. The use of light in virtual games usually draws attention to an important piece or the next area the player should move to. Spaces create contrasts between the darker and the lighter spaces which act as a transition space this helps in balancing out. The use of hierarchy in certain spaces just in-order gives in importance to all the spaces equally. It also enhances the game’s wayfinding strategy by making it easier for the player to the reader a building and remember their relative position in space and to understand where important elements of gameplay can be found.

Every detail matters the colour of the sky, the colour of the ground is a very important connection to consider. The surface wall of certain buildings rarely dives straight into the terrain without any transition the way most of the virtual games portray. The Foundation of the building must also be strong because this will otherwise make the building’s appearance look or feel temporary, weak, or fleeting. The use of materials gives in texture and this will also help the user feel the space even better. Materials, colours, textures, shades simply help with achieving realism. There is always a strong impact on the use of these materials to shape the player’s experience and attract or propel them to form various gameplay elements. Urban design, hoe the exteriors and the interiors, and this plays a very important role in the design. Some spaces can be defined so easily by just adding some elements into the design. This will also help with adding more value to this space. Placing a monumental structure at the end of the visual axis helps orient the player, this is mainly created so that the player remembers this to be an axis and this is the place and will help the player orient and understand the spaces better. These are just a few aspects of architecture that can be used to design more effective virtual games.

With time something that will eventually grow is architects in the field of designing spaces in the virtual world. This will have more value than physical architecture. The virtual architecture will help with deeper connections to the world. Video game architecture can be dynamic architecture, shape-shifting, and different conditions. These spaces can bring in interactive spaces but at the same time getting these innovative ideas into reality seems a little difficult. Game environments are propagated throughout the world, on millions of individual computers. This virtual architecture helps in connecting people through the world and this helps in creating spaces to interact.
