Flamefall: A Tribute to the Gulmohar’s Blaze
Inspired by the Gulmohar in full bloom, Flamefall captures the tree’s fiery cascade of reds and oranges that light up avenues before the rains. Handcrafted in banana fibre paper, the piece embodies both the intensity and fragility of falling blossoms, a fleeting spectacle that leaves behind a glow, echoing beauty that endures beyond its moment.
Erythra: Turning Disruption into Wonder
While the Gulmohar inspires through fragility, Erythra is rooted in resilience. Drawing from the Indian Coral Tree, whose scarlet flowers burst alive each summer, this collection takes an unusual route, transforming lantana camara, an invasive forest weed, into sculptural forms of beauty. Paired with Oorjaa’s in-house handmade banana fibre paper, Erythra is both bold and poetic, proof that craft can turn waste into wonder and disruption into design.
