Founded in 1933, Regma is a historic ice cream brand deeply rooted in Cantabria. For its new store on Calle Burgos in Santander, the brand commissioned our studio to develop a space aligned with its evolving visual and graphic identity—an architectural proposal that reflects this transformation with coherence and clarity.

Our goal was to capture the essence of Regma’s values using a contemporary architectural language, steering away from direct or overly obvious references in favor of a more nuanced and timeless interpretation.

Concept and Brand Language
As an iconic presence in northern Spain, Regma’s identity is built upon two main pillars: the use of authentic, natural ingredients and a bold, uncomplicated color scheme.

Drawing from these foundations, we crafted a conceptual framework rooted in geometric abstraction inspired by the world of ice cream. A rotated square—appearing as a diamond—emerged as the guiding motif, repeated throughout the ceilings, floors, and façade to create a consistent and instantly recognizable spatial identity.

Material Language and Sensory Experience
The selection of materials was guided by the desire to evoke the brand’s most iconic flavors, translated into architectural form through natural, noble elements such as oak wood, travertine marble, and clay-based paints.
We complemented this with stainless steel—materially linked to refrigeration and traditional ice cream production—introducing a subtle industrial contrast that enriches the sensory palette.

The outcome is an immersive, emotionally resonant environment that embodies the brand in an abstract yet evocative way. Through a refined use of geometry, texture, and color, the space offers visitors a distinctive sensory journey that supports Regma’s evolution while staying true to its heritage.
