Designed by Richard Yasmine, Furrybum/Softbum draws from naive childhood illustrations, translating simple two-dimensional shapes—triangle, square, and circle into sculptural armchairs that blur the line between art and function.

Each shape carries symbolic significance. The triangle, expressed in soft yellow, represents manifestation and higher consciousness. The square, cloaked in pastel blue, reflects structure, order, and stability. The circle, rendered in dusty red, embodies wholeness, eternity, and the continuity of cycles. These symbolic cues are not only visual but sensorial, creating a multi-layered experience through both shape and texture.

The Furrybum line uses pastel or black synthetic fur, evoking an exaggerated softness that speaks to nostalgia and tactility. Softbum, in contrast, features smooth velvet finishes in primary colors, adding a refined yet playful touch. Both lines maintain a cartoonish elegance that challenges traditional furniture archetypes.

This collection functions as a corporeal study an investigation into how elemental forms can be reimagined through material and emotion. The resulting pieces are not only physically engaging but also emotionally resonant, celebrating the innocence of childhood through the lens of contemporary design.
