The constructive system frequently used was the most economical. The constructors took advantage of the high resistance of the ground to directly lift on a small foundation the brick enclosure – without pillars – to support the floor framing.

Only in the areas of the house where there were two or more levels were reinforced concrete pillars used. The construction system greatly limited both the geometry and the dimensions of the spaces.

Cabrera bis is an investigation into a freer, dynamic and nature-related architecture. The project is inspired by the sculptures of the Spanish artist Eduardo Chillida – who studied some years of architecture prior to his artistic training.
