The Rashtrakuta emperor Krishna I’s two copper plates, dated 758 and 768 AD, are the first written records of the Pune region. “Puny Vishaya” and “Punaka Vishaya,” respectively, are the names of the plates. Theur, Uruli, Khed, Dapodi, and Bhosari, now a part of the city, are among the places near Pune mentioned on the plates. In the Ganapatya school of Hinduism, which regards Lord Ganesha as the Supreme Being or its philosophical idea of Brahman, Chinchwad is famous for the shrine of Morya Gosavi. Moraya Gosavi is dated between the 13th and the 17th century CE by various sources. The temple’s inscription states that work on it started in 1658 CE.
