In the 1960s, the first races were held on city streets by amateurs and locals, leading to the construction of a permanent venue for motorsport events. The Automóvel Clube de Cascavel circuit opened in 1973, making it the country’s third asphalt track. The track eventually became the site of major national tournaments. The Fórmula Truck series got its start at the circuit. The Brazilian Stock Car series visits the track regularly.
