Cities and roads are filled with elements designed to signal and regulate space: billboards, flags, banners… and even road cones that indicate wind direction to alert drivers. They are useful presences, but impersonal ones, that only remind us of rules and risks.
Project Name: Human Signage
Studio Name: Luzinterruptus

With Human Signage we propose to replace these devices with more human and poetic presences. Instead of wind cones, imagine legs floating as if swimming in the air, hands suspended greeting the breeze, or feet on tiptoe that seem not to want to disturb.

Made of translucent white fabrics and lit from within with cold light, these body parts move with the wind and perform the same signaling function, but in a more evocative and humanized way.

At night, the figures become visible and gentle, subtly transforming the landscape without interrupting it. An invitation to look differently at what usually only directs or warns us.
