Nobody Starts as a Hero

Optimus Prime is famous. Everyone knows him. He’s the big hero, the brave leader.

But he didn’t start that way.

He started as Orion Pax—a regular worker with a boring job. No power. No fame. Just a guy organizing files.

So how did he become Optimus Prime? That’s the interesting part.

Part 1: Orion Pax (The Start)

Orion Pax had a desk job on Cybertron. He organized data all day. Nobody noticed him. Nobody cared what he thought.

But Orion noticed things. He saw problems. He saw lies. And he decided to speak up.

That’s hard when you’re nobody. It’s easier to stay quiet. But Orion chose to care when he didn’t have to.

That choice changed everything.

Transformers ONE Optimus Prime

This building kit shows Orion right after he becomes Optimus. New leader. Still learning. Still hopeful.

What you get:

  • 5 inches tall
  • 79 pieces to build
  • Eyes and chest light up
  • Comes with weapons
  • Extra hands for different poses
  • Stand to display him

This version shows the beginning. He’s not worn down yet. He still believes everything will work out.

Part 2: G1 Optimus Prime (The Legend)

After Orion became Optimus, he had to prove himself. He had to show what kind of leader he’d be.

G1 Optimus did that. This version created the rules: protect the innocent, fight for freedom, never give up.

Every Optimus Prime that came after copied these ideas. G1 set the standard.

Action Edition G1 Optimus Prime

This is the big one. Bigger size. More pieces. More complex.

What you get:

  • 7 inches tall (bigger than others)
  • 188 pieces (lots to build)
  • 45 moving joints (poses everywhere)
  • Magnetic lights (touch to activate)
  • Matrix of Leadership (remove it from chest)
  • Many weapons: jet pack, cannon, axe

Why costs more? Because it’s more. Twice the size. Way more parts. Much more detailed.

The Matrix of Leadership is special. Take it out of his chest and lights turn on. It shows the burden of leadership—heavy and glowing.

Part 3: 2007 Movie Optimus (The Warrior)

By the 2007 movie, Optimus has fought for thousands of years. He’s seen friends die. He’s made hard choices.

He’s still good. Still noble. But tougher now. More serious.

Experience changes you. It changed him.

Classic Class 09 Optimus Prime

This shows movie Optimus. Ready for battle. Always on guard.

What you get:

  • 5 inches tall
  • 88 pieces
  • 20+ moving joints
  • Eyes and chest light up
  • Movie weapons
  • Display stand

Look at this version next to the ONE version. You see the difference. More armor. Bigger weapons. Harder stance.

That’s what years of war do.

How to Display All Three

Most people buy one Optimus. That’s fine. But all three together tell a story.

Left side: ONE Optimus Put him on books or a box. Raise him 2-3 inches. Stand him up straight. Weapon down. This shows hope.

Middle: G1 Optimus
Raise him highest—4-5 inches up. He’s the center. The most important. The one all others look up to.

Right side: 2007 Optimus Put him on the table. No raising. Battle pose, weapon up. This shows reality hit.

Why this works:

  • Started high with hope
  • Reached the peak as a legend
  • Came back down as a fighter

The heights tell the story without words.

Why G1 Costs More

THREE versions. TWO prices. Why?

Classic Class ($19.99):

  • Smaller size
  • Fewer pieces
  • Good for most displays
  • Easy to build

Action Edition ($39.99):

  • Much bigger
  • Way more pieces
  • Show-stopping centerpiece
  • Takes longer to build

The Blokees Transformers has both types. Pick what fits your space and budget.

For this display, G1’s bigger size makes sense. He’s the foundation. He should stand out.

What Each Version Shows

ONE Optimus says: “I’m new at this. I’ll try my best.”

G1 Optimus says: “Follow me. I know the way.”

2007 Optimus says: “I’ve seen it all. I’m still here.”

Three versions. Three messages. One character.

Black Friday deals: $5 off orders over $149, $10 off over $199, $20 off over $299.

Building Time

Classic Class (ONE and 2007): Takes 15-30 minutes each. Easy. Ages 12+.

Action Edition (G1): Takes 45-90 minutes. Harder. Ages 14+. More rewarding.

Start simple. Work up to complex.

Taking Care of Them

All three need the same care:

  • Brush dust off weekly
  • Turn lights off in bright rooms (can’t see them anyway)
  • Check if joints get loose
  • Keep out of direct sunlight

G1 needs a bit more attention because he has more moving parts. Check him more often.

Taking Photos

Side view: Shows all three in a line. Best for showing the timeline.

Focus on G1: Close up with Matrix glowing. Shows power and burden.

ONE vs 2007: Put them side by side at same height. Shows how he changed.

From above: Shows your whole setup. Good for sharing online.

Why Show All Three?

Bad guys get worse over time. Good guys get better.

Showing all three Optimus versions proves that heroes grow. They learn. They adapt. But they keep their values.

Orion Pax was curious. That became Optimus Prime’s wisdom. Young Optimus was hopeful. That became experienced Optimus’s determination.

Same person. Different stages. That’s what makes heroes interesting.

Common Questions

“Do I need all three?” No. One works fine. But three tell the complete story.

“Which should I buy first?” Whichever era you like best. They all work alone.

“Why is G1 bigger?” Because he’s the foundation. The original. The most important version.

“Will they fit on my shelf?” Yes. You need about 18 inches of space.

“Do the lights really work?” Yes. They look great in dim rooms.

The Real Point

Collections show what you bought. Displays show what you learned.

This display shows you understand something important: nobody starts great. They become great through hard work and hard choices.

Orion Pax was nobody special. He became Optimus Prime by choosing to care, to lead, to sacrifice.

That journey matters more than the ending.

Final Thought

Every hero starts somewhere ordinary.

Orion Pax organized files. Optimus Prime saved worlds.

Between those two points was growth. Mistakes. Learning. Never giving up.

That’s what leadership really is.

Show it. Display it. Remember that great leaders are made through choices, not born with powers.

Build your display at Blokees and show how ordinary becomes extraordinary.
