How Can One Become An Architect?
Generally, there are four types of architects – Technical Architect, Planning Architect, Site Architect & Design Architect. - Choosing the right stream after 10th – It is essential that after 10th Grade you choose science as a stream, only after that can you think about becoming an architect. - Bachelor’s Degree – The next step after high school will be to get your bachelor’s degree. The most common degree that you can opt-in for is – a Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) degree. You can also opt in for special programs like – a Bachelor’s in Engineering and Architectural Design, Bachelor of Engineering in Landscape Architecture, BSc/BA in Architecture Technology & Construction Management & BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture & Design.
- Applying for work – After you finish your bachelor’s you should aim to pass the Architect Registration Examination & then look for work under a firm, architect or an internship where you can learn the craft a bit better.
