Four-floor high, the 24-appartments have a concrete structure. They are covered with white or colored coating, and metalic-look Trespa-pannels. External staircases in white-painted concrete give access to the storeys.

Program : construction of 24 appartments and 5 passive houses in the district “Ilot Bossuet” in Orléans – social housings.
Net area : 2862 m²
Cost : 3.6 M€ H.T.

Facing them, the 5 passive houses, two-floor high, are made with a wooden structure. This structure is part of a global strategy, which combines tight volumes, oientation, and efficient materials.

For example, external insulation, mechanical ventilation with heating exchange, and triple-glazing are used to reduce the energy consumption. The houses are clad in zinc or in wood (larch).

For both constructions, the use of different facade materials, and a slightly shifting of some of the volumes, help identifying each dwellings from the other.
