On our first visit, an elephant in the room was hard to ignore: the long, oblique wall.

Along the wall, a string of rooms makes for a dark home, separating the family members from one another as they engage in various activities throughout the day.

We asked ourselves, how do we reconcile such opposing axis systems and turn the tension between them into quality functional spaces.

We had to harness the diagonal layout and create a Transformer-like unit that brings together the different spaces and activities taking place in the home, creating well-defined spaces while allowing easy passage from one space to the next.
