With great flow and awe-inspiring open volumes, visitors are engaged as they explore the dynamically-planned property, uncovering its quietly sophisticated contemporary details. In a marriage of authentic textures and forms, the home boasts a soothing low-contrast combination of white Danish brick, tactile plaster and wood-panelled walls throughout each space. Subtly nostalgic in its emotive materiality yet modern in its thoughtful programming, Shaftesbury 46 truly is a journey of discovery defined by its uplifting sense of arrival and through the soft juxtaposition of grounding materials.
With ceilings of up to 20 feet and expansive floor-to-ceiling walls of windows, the home continually connects its inhabitants to the outside environment, most notably the home’s curated backyard creating a yearlong indoor/outdoor experience.
The main floor is dedicated to collective living and socializing; it features a bright open living room with a roaring marble fireplace and seamless cabinetry. Up above, in a calming rhythm, exposed architectural beams add warmth and comforting intimacy.
