JUNG, the prestigious German manufacturer of electrical and home automation mechanisms and systems, is unveiling its new facilities in Madrid. This mixed space combines a showroom with offices. The office design has been carried out by WANNA, a specialized studio in creating brand stories and conveying them seamlessly from branding to interior design.

It is a corporate brand space that lives upon JUNG’s visual universe pillars: sustainability, timelessness, and cutting-edge design. It reflects the personality and philosophy of the German company.

Our goal was to convey the brand’s architecture by recreating its curved and straight lines throughout the space and furniture, and by creating an open, bright, and welcoming environment filled with vegetation and light,” explains WANNA. “We wanted employees to feel like they are entering a small oasis where they truly enjoy coming to work when they step into the offices.”

The studio faced a significant challenge, as the original location was a claustrophobic space without windows, lacking natural light and ventilation.

“We all know how natural light, or the lack thereof, affects our physical and mental health,” say the representatives from WANNA. “In workspaces, natural light enhances our cognitive abilities and helps us work better. That’s why our obsession with this project was to find a way to deceive the senses and create an atmosphere of well-being and the effect of natural light where it didn’t exist.” To achieve this, the studio opted for effective general lighting combined with additional task lighting and decorative light wells. This allows for the recreation of different lighting scenarios throughout the day and provides employees with a visually natural perception of the space.

Regarding the interior design proposal, WANNA carefully implemented experiential zoning to convey spaciousness and an exterior sense of openness. This approach also generated distinct and intimate areas with different functionalities, playing with distances and glass partitions while maintaining unity and cohesion throughout the space.

Another achievement of WANNA’s design is the rhythm within the space, thanks to the contrast of materials, colors, and textures. It is a harmonious ensemble where rough and matte textures coexist with luminous shades of white and chalk, transparent glass and grilles, and stabilized plants that contribute to harmony and evoke a visually refreshing sensation. The innovative mechanisms of JUNG intentionally take center stage, with WANNA selecting the emblematic LS 990 series in the 32110 l’ocre rouge color from the exclusive Les Couleurs® Le Corbusier collection, thereby adding a visual accent to the space with its characterised earthy tones.

The result is a new corporate office aligned with the essence, values, and positioning of the German company, designed not just as an office space, but as a place for work, well-being, and collaboration.
