Preserving three historic existing façades, the project’s sustainable and architectural strategies integrated a contemporary volume which expands its height with an entirely new concrete and wood structure, a nod to the foundries, lumberyards, and craftsmen that once called the area home.

Now a place of both modernity and heritage, the interiors feel just as warm as the workshop it once was with black spruce imparting a softened atmosphere with light tones and smooth yet stark textures.
