Designed for a multi-generational family in Mumbai, MN Residence is a 2,500 sq.ft. home in Goregaon West envisioned around the idea of bringing multiple generations together while respecting individual routines and privacy.

Shaped by an understanding that contemporary family life requires both connection and independence, the residence balances shared experiences with personal retreat through a design language that is calm, cohesive, and deeply rooted in everyday living, creating an environment that feels unified without becoming uniform.
Natural light plays a defining role throughout the residence, animating surfaces and enhancing the character of the material palette. Warm timber finishes, muted grey tones, soft fabrics, and subtle metal accents establish a sense of warmth and continuity, while layered textures bring depth and visual richness to the interiors. Rather than relying on decorative gestures, the design draws its identity from the careful composition of materials, light, and proportion.
The private spaces are conceived as quiet sanctuaries, where functionality is seamlessly integrated into the architecture. Concealed storage, custom furniture, and thoughtfully detailed elements contribute to a sense of order and ease. Soft lighting and tactile materials further enhance the atmosphere, creating rooms that feel comfortable, intimate, and enduring.
Within the shared living areas, openness and fluidity guide the spatial experience. Living, dining, and circulation spaces unfold naturally, allowing movement through the home to feel effortless. Furnishings and artwork are introduced with purpose, complementing the architecture without overwhelming it, while the continuity of materials strengthens the visual connection between spaces.
