The residence embodies unbroken continuity, where spaces flow organically rather than feeling isolated. Designed for a family with three young children, it balances playfulness with structured elegance for adults and grandparents. Anchoring this seamless movement is the staircase — not just a circulation element but a floating sculpture. With its fluid form, custom sand-textured soffit and continuous railing detail, it becomes the home’s most striking feature, exuding grandeur and effortless transition. Art, greenery, and curated lighting transform corridors into experience zones, reinforcing the home’s rhythmic fluidity and depth.

The double-height living area is designed as an architectural spectacle, where the staircase and Arjun Rathi’s sculptural lighting installation take centre stage. The bespoke swirling chandelier complements the organic movement of the staircase, enhancing the visual dynamism of the space. Adding to the architectural rhythm, a grid of veneer and marble mouldings introduces structure and cohesion. The dining area, though distinct, flows seamlessly from the living space, reinforcing the home’s open, interconnected essence.

In the kitchen, minimalism meets functionality with a monochrome palette and seamless cabinetry, ensuring a clean, contemporary aesthetic. Integrated appliances and discreet storage solutions enhance usability without compromising on design. The kitchen aligns with the home’s overall theme of restrained elegance and effortless sophistication, embodying a balance of form and function.

The den is thoughtfully designed as a multi-purpose space, making it ideal for reading, casual conversations, or moments of reflection. Its luxurious atmosphere is enhanced by a stunning shamiana ceiling, made from rich silk tapestry, which adds a layer of intimacy and elegance to the environment.

The puja room serves as a spiritual oasis within the home, offering a minimalistic yet profoundly evocative space to connect with the Divine. It features intricately textured panels that enhance the sense of sanctity, while soft, diffused lighting creates an atmosphere of meditative calm. Handcrafted totem columns subtly tie back to the home’s material narrative, enriching the overall experience of this sacred space.

Designed as a floating sculptural form, the staircase is a showstopper. Its custom sand-textured soffit visually softens the underside, while curved, fluid edges seamlessly extend into the railing, creating a harmonious flow. More than just a functional element, the staircase transcends its purpose to become an art piece. It serves as the soul of the residence, encapsulating the theme of seamless transitions, continuity, and sculptural beauty, making it a defining feature of the home’s design. It is the most iconic detail in this duplex.

The master bedroom is a personal sanctuary, a study in refined simplicity where soft neutrals, warm wood tones, and plush textiles create a serene escape. Designed for comfort and elegance, the space embodies a calming atmosphere. The en-suite master bathroom, clad in luxurious Panda White marble, offers a spa-like experience, further elevated by sculptural mirrors and ambient lighting that enhance the sense of tranquillity.

The children’s bedrooms strike a balance between playfulness and sophistication, each uniquely tailored while maintaining a cohesive aesthetic. The 14-year-old son’s room is inspired by dominos, reflecting his love for strategy and play. The 12-year-old son’s space embraces a theme of mathematical calculations, fostering curiosity and learning. The daughter’s bedroom is a dreamy haven in peaches and pinks, with the newly launched white Flos tracks adding a touch of modern softness. Designed as versatile environments, these rooms encourage both creativity and comfort, growing with the children while catering to their evolving interests.

The material selection plays a pivotal role in reinforcing the design intent of warmth, texture, and movement. Dyed Sukupira wood, with its rich, deep tone, adds depth and structure to the walls and furniture, while leather-finished Chianti White Marble provides a soft, tactile contrast, balancing richness with lightness. A bespoke grid of veneer and marble mouldings subtly defines each space, introducing dimension and symmetry. Arjun Rathi’s handcrafted glass and wood lighting installations swirl gracefully across the living and dining areas, infusing kinetic energy. At the heart of the design, the staircase features a sand-textured soffit, soft curves, and seamlessly integrated railings, transforming it into a sculptural masterpiece.
