Located in the city of São Paulo, Brazil, this apartment is in a club condominium, with complete infrastructure and a leisure area focused on well-being and environmental preservation. The work emerged from a previous project carried out by architects Giovana Souza and Katrine Wiazowski for the family’s travel agency. Happy with the results delivered by the professionals, the couple decided to hire the office again to renovate their home.

As owners of this universe, they are constantly traveling and usually bring pieces with emotional value from various destinations to decorate their home. They were looking for a cozy environment, with their identity, and a large space to welcome friends and family. His two young sons also participate in this universe and contributed to the process of renovating the property.

To meet the clients’ needs, the office redesigned the layout, integrating the balcony into the living room. The floor was leveled and installed throughout the social area, promoting a feeling of spaciousness, modernity and harmony. One of the main objectives was to maximize the entry of natural lighting, ensuring a more welcoming and healthy environment.

The kitchen underwent a complete renovation to make it more functional. A larger opening was made in the space and a joinery panel was created that allows the space to be closed or opened discreetly. The lighting was completely renewed to solve the coloring problem, with the inclusion of lighting scenarios for different occasions and indirect light to create a more welcoming atmosphere in everyday life.

One of the biggest challenges was hiding the air conditioning machine on the balcony, without interfering with the balcony structure or the existing hydraulics. The solution found was the creation of a joinery with slatted doors, which functions as an easily accessible cupboard, positioned behind the sofa on the balcony. To ensure discretion, the air conditioning was wrapped in the same shade as the panel. Next to it, a mirror-covered pillar completes the composition, creating an elegant background for the social area.

The joinery in the living room was chosen to complement the existing reclaimed wood panel, and the kitchen received graphite MDF, while light and neutral fabrics were selected to bring lightness to the environment. The decoration includes paintings with stories and travel memories, displayed in the room with discreet black and white frames to maintain elegance and avoid visual overload.
