Since the peacock feather is central to the design theme, the project got its name – Mayuralaya or a peacock’s abode in Sanskrit. And as Tushar Mistry Design Studio always aims to create spaces that are not just functional but believe that they should also enhance the quality of lifestyle of the residents, the team decided to create a perfect amalgamation of aesthetics and functionality that brings harmony to the space.

Following the Art Deco style, Ar. Tushar Mistry tried to give a bespoke and personalised touch to every area in the house. To him, art is not a luxury but a necessity, and meticulous attention to detail was put into every design aspect of this beautiful home.

The free hand that Tushar got in creating this residence is reflective of the trust that the client had in the team and that made their job more interesting as they pushed the envelope to justify it. From space designing to selections, the team worked relentlessly in searching and procuring the best materials and finishes to create customization and personalisation to the art deco-specifications. The colours of the wall, furniture, and decor are so planned to complement the overall look and feel of the home.

Be it lighting, furniture, kids’ wardrobe, and beds with actual Mercedes automobile parts or the bathrooms, all areas are detailed out perfectly. This project is not just another house but the epitome of surreal visual language that maintains a fine balance between functionality and beauty.
