This cozy apartment is the first home together for a young couple, designed to be their perfect escape from the busy world outside. The 140 m2 space was envisioned to support a range of activities that mirror their vibrant lifestyle. This includes enjoying films on a high-definition screen with premium audio in the living space, savoring morning coffees at a bar counter while taking in stunning vistas, and indulging in soothing baths and a meticulous beauty routine. ‘We carefully considered and incorporated these elements into every aspect of the apartment’s design, from its overall layout to the finer details,’ comments interior designer Lesya Pechenkina.

The design concept was focused on neatly separating shared and private areas, which cleverly makes the apartment feel more spacious than its actual dimensions. The clever positioning of the living spaces takes full advantage of the breathtaking views offered by the windows. “The first thing that strikes you as you enter is how the dining area is perfectly framed by the windows, with the kitchen to one side and the living room to the other. Through thoughtful furniture placement and lighting design, we’ve highlighted these areas as key features of the home,” the designer shares.
The apartment’s decor, a sophisticated blend of modern and Art Deco influences, is detailed and layered, showcasing a harmonious blend of textures and colors like metallics against soft fabrics, lush greens and deep reds beside marble and brass. Decorative plaster graces the main walls, while marble flooring elevates the hall and kitchen, complemented by parquet throughout and distinctive ceramic accents in the bathrooms.
Despite its compact size, the living area is designed to be warm and welcoming, thanks to extra seating near the windows. The kitchen, too, has become a beloved spot for culinary adventures, heartfelt conversations, or agreeable coffee breaks, all enhanced by the scenic backdrop. For the master bedroom, complete with its bespoke dressing area, a tranquil and intimate setting was achieved by opting for soft, dark colors and a unique wall fresco, adding a touch of individuality.
Custom furniture pieces, such as the striking kitchen island, an integrated TV area, and creatively textured shelving, enhance the space’s functionality and aesthetic appeal. Advanced smart home technology seamlessly manages lighting and sound, enriching the living experience.
