The exhibition, which addresses issues that directly affect a society that is particularly open to change in the home, such as today’s, is made up of pieces of furniture and lighting, as well as three installations in the form of domestic scenes that x-ray specific parts of the home. All of them conceived by architecture and design professionals and leading companies in the sector, including Gerflor Iberia.

The company has brought its flooring models to two of these domestic spaces. Specifically, the DLW Linoleum – Marmorette (color Blue Eyes) to recreate a kitchen space, “Big Bang Kitchen”, and the Taralay Premium model (in the colors Indiana Bali, Indiana Samoa and Indiana Faroe) for a work hub or home office called “Work From Anywhere Hub”. The first of the spaces has been designed by Cierto Estudio and the second by Eli Gutiérrez Studio.

“Big Bang Kitchen” responds to both those who are looking for a kitchen that is the heart of the house, as well as those who only need basic equipment, but extra functionality. It is an approach as pieces of furniture, with an ambiguous aesthetic capable of fitting in both scenarios.

The “Work From Anywhere Hub” is a flexible and multipurpose microarchitecture that offers hybrid functionalities, both for work and for moments of relaxation or wellness activities.

In both cases, the design revolves around five pillars: flexibility, multifunctionality, modularity, nomadism and sustainability. Five notions that are not new, but which now need to be rethought for a different scenario, capable of responding to new lifestyle trends, while taking into account contemporary social, technological and sustainable realities. All of these concepts are encompassed by Gerflor wall and floor coverings, as they seek to be the basis for avant-garde designs that look to the future, taking advantage of the many technical, aesthetic and sustainable benefits they offer.

“For us it is a pleasure to be present and collaborate in WDC Valencia 2022 and to be present at the exhibition. Our flexible floorings seek to be an effective solution for any type of work or work that offers professionals in the sector a guarantee through which to achieve their creative aspirations. At Gerflor we understand design as an enhancer of our culture and we firmly believe that in the Valencian Community we have a great cast of the best professionals in this field,” says José Manuel Suárez, CEO of Gerflor Iberia.
