Serralves is a cultural institution designed by Alvaro Siza located in Porto, Portugal, and one of the most important of all the countries. It includes a Contemporary Art Museum, a Park and a Villa, each one an example of contemporary architecture, Modernism, and Art Deco architecture.
12. Adega Mayor Winery
The winery’s rectangular layout, 40x 120 meters, is based on the existing cavity and constituted by virtually windowless 9-meter-high walls. The cargo and visitors’ entrance is located at the southeast end of the building and the volume above it is one storey higher than the rest of the building, providing access to a panoramic roof terrace.
13. Auditorium Theatre of Llinars del Valles
The building designed by Alvaro Siza is articulated in plan and elevation from the “heart” of the activity, the stage box. From this point depend on all equipment actions and looks musicians and actors; spectators, scenery, dressing rooms, storage, administration. different users are arranged in the scene related spaces, and the volumes corresponding to these spaces are displayed as such, articulated by courts and in its outward expression.
14. Barcelona’s Meteorology Center
Located on the Paseo Maritimo in Barcelona the center was built for the 1992 Olympic Games. It served as the headquarters for the meteorologists who forecast the weather during the outdoor Olympic events, such as the races.

This plant designed by Alvaro Siza covers an area of two square kilometers and employs the world’s most advanced manufacturing processes and technologies.
