HBG Design a Top-ranked United States based firm, formerly known as Hnedak Bobo Design, was founded in the year of 1979 in Memphis. This group of companies rebranded, changing its name to HBG designs. The name was re-branded because of the passion for the field of designing memorable, transformative experiences. They mainly focused on hotel design operations, resort destinations, themed destinations, and entertainment design. They mainly focus on delivering inspiring design experiences, innovative operational practices. They also believed that every employee designs their career experiences around their unique strengths and passions. Most of their projects are US-based. They have also been presented with awards from the American Institute of Architects(AIA) and National council of architectural registration boards.
1. Sycuan Casino Resort | HBG Design
Located in El Cajon, CA, this creates a new vision for a casino resort that transforms into a very successful property into super-regional and gaming-centric destination resorts. Which includes all sorts of entertainment experiences. It gives a loyal welcome to all the local customers, that also captivate customers with a mix of amenities including, casino expansions for about 350 machines, conference/meeting space, multiple dining venues, an event center, spa, and fitness center, lazy river, pool, and gardens.


2. Northern Quest Resort And Casino
Located in Spokane, WA, US. It is the creation made by a fusion of abstract and contemporary design, which involves four-diamond quality rooms that were tailor-made for the inland northwest tourism market. They have various amenities which include a luxe wellness spa, and multiple restaurants and lounges, including a cigar room, a steakhouse, and nightclubs. This property also encourages art, so they host performances by famous musicians and comedians.


3. Wind Creek Wetumpka Casino Resort
It is located in the countryside of Wetumpka, Alabama, and the winding Coosa river. It is the second wind creek resort and wind creek resort development designed by HBG Designs. The design’s objective is “shaped through time” which gives an expression for the flow of water along the Coosa River. It also helps in shaping the culture and history of the creek Indians.


4. Lyfe Kitchen, Memphis
This place was an abandoned restaurant that provides new organically-inspired dining experiences. The company’s name stands for “love your food every day”. The design also reflects its sustainable lifestyle branding through its store design. They maintained efficiency standards in their restaurants for electricity, water, food waste, air quality, and recycling. They are certified by the United States green building council and also recognized by LEED.


5. The Guest House Of Graceland, Memphis | HBG Design
It is one of the most iconic buildings in 2016, its rooms have a distinctive feature which makes this stand out from the rest of the projects. The style of the legendary singer Elvis Presley is reflected in the lobby of the guest house of Graceland which adds on to become a unique character, defining the whole mansion. Furthermore, space is more defined by adding a touch of light, texture, color, and organic furniture.


6. University Of Tennessee Health Sciences Center Research Complex
Located in Memphis, TN, US. The UTHSC cancer research and translational sciences research complex are made of glass, brick, metal, and precast façade which makes an urban campus context of new and historic campus buildings. The building has white painted over it, which calms patients and brings in a positivity to the surrounding.


7. Gaylord Texan Resort And Convention Center
Located in the Grapevine, TX, US. It is one of the best resorts which overlooks beautiful Lake Grapevine, which renders a tribute to everything in Texas on a grand scale. It also has a 10-acre paradise springs water park, glass cactus nightclub, along with 1500 rooms and other amenities. This design was inspired by the vicinity of Texas. The central space has a huge skylight that is open to the sky.


8. Gaylord Palm Resorts And Convention Center
Located in Florida, which is a themed resort. Like any other resort destination, they have all sorts of amenities but, what makes this project different from the other is the three signature glass-covered, climate-controlled atriums that help in artificial control of air, temperature, humidity, and movement. As the name suggests, Gaylord palm resorts and convention center makes it evident that they have a lot of palm trees in and around the site.


9. Fedex Express World Headquarters
It’s located in Memphis. It consolidates the global shipping leaders, 3000+ Memphis based employees walking into a modern eight building. This also has a water stream helping in cooling effect and reduces the carbon footprint of the building. Consists of green spaces and a bridge that helps in the connectivity of towers.


10. Hard Rock Café Memphis | HBG Design
It’s located in Memphis. This project was the first iconic style of Elvis Presley’s. The historic repurposing and new interior design of this iconic Beale street building which makes it attractive because of its high profile location and aesthetics of the internationally-renowned building.


11. Art Of The Motorcycle Touring Exhibition, Licensed By The Guggenheim Museum, Memphis | HBG Design
It is a design that shows the evolution of wheels with time. They have tried using contrasting colors that define the spaces better. Also, this museum has a collection of 92 exclusive collections of motorcycles.


12. Greektown Hotel And Casino
It’s located in Detroit, a historic district. This project would contrast with a historic district and modern urban development that creates a unified entertainment campus that has a 30 story building and also creates a visibility link with the adjacent casino and event center.

13. Hard Rock Café, New Orleans
This project is the renovation of two buildings, HBG Designs a new hard rock café with a gothic theme. Its main aim was to blend in with the historic river and eclectic culture with high energy. They used bold colors that also made huge custom-made chandeliers in the shape of a beer bottle and used porcelain tiled floors. That made this café truly one of a kind.

14. Opera Memphis Center
This center was made for dynamic performances and also a space to celebrate music as a form of art. They have an enormous lobby, the purpose of the design was to encourage and introduce art and culture to the city of Memphis.


15. Westin Memphis Beale Street Hotel | HBG Design
This design was the 1st upper-upscale project. The design was intentionally-positioned into historic Beale street. They created an angled glass and metal tower that is of 9 story using bricks and precast just to fit in with the historic buildings in the surroundings. They have sleek, modern, organic interiors that offer a competitive downtown market.
