11. TECHNOLOGY IN INTERIORS

Incorporating technology in interior design is an upcoming trend in luxury interiors. Designers always find ways to disguise technology for the convenience of the clients. Cabinets, light controls, automated gates, blinds and interactive design in restaurants and ways to keep the electronics out of sight give the users a convenience of technology. Smart homes are already existing everywhere. Smart interiors will be built into the very structure of our homes and are the future of interior design.

12. LUXURY INSPIRED BY TRADITION

The traditionally styled luxury incorporates traditional elements with a modern touch. The history of interiors is best conveyed through styles that have dominated in the past. These styles are art deco, classical, industrial, french, mid-century modern and minimalist amongst many. Each style has its language, and the influence of them fused with a modern touch in interiors is commonly seen in luxury interior design.

13. FLOORING

The type of flooring one selects lays the groundwork for the rest of the house. Whether there is already an existing vibe in the interiors, the flooring sets the immediate tone to the room. Wood flooring is a practical option that gives a look from elegant to rustic. High-end Porcelain tiles give a contemporary and modern look to space. Other top luxury flooring options are wool carpeting, travertine tiles, marble, natural stone flooring, exotic hardwood flooring, reclaimed hardwood flooring and Forbo Marmoleum flooring.

14. UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIAL PALETTE

The more unusual material, the more personal space can be that is uncommon and specific as per the taste of the user. Some unconventional materials that are used in high-end interiors are faux leather, high-end laminates, woven resin, copper, fur, agate, bone inlay, live edges in furniture pieces and oxidised metals.

15. INSIDE OUTSIDE CONNECTION

Being in connection with the outside and space expanding outdoors is a luxury not available to all. A luxury interior space does not have to involve restyling all the interiors of a house. The luxury is about the user creating a unique space that he desires. Natural elements such as plants and rocks are used in multiple ways to create an appealing interior design.  People are moving towards interiors blending the inside and outside concept, achieving timeless luxury.

16. FURNITURE

Even one luxurious element or furniture piece in a space can make it special. Luxury interiors relate to elements that are elegant, sumptuous and indulgent. The fabrics, shapes and designs to provide the meaning of luxury are distinctive and comfortable. Featuring different upholsteries, posh velvets, brass and minimal designs, the elegant furniture pieces in a room becomes the easiest luxury feature.

17. HUMAN CENTRIC DESIGN

Humancentric design is the luxury that understands how the user wants to function and interact in the space. Luxury in such spaces comes with the idea to build an experience for the user, which is personalised in a way to understand their needs and wants.

18. FIXTURES

Updating the light fixtures with distinguished lampshades, drawer and door handles and pulls of kitchen cabinets is a less expensive but a sure way to create a luxury home interior. A light feature as small as a chandelier of a normal size becomes an opulent addition to the decor.

19. HYBRID LUXURY

The hybrid style is a combination of two contrasting styles that cohesively derive the idea of luxury. It is an innovation and looks the best with one minimal style and the other heavy on tradition. The interior design derived from hybrid luxury is unique and features distinguished visuals that set the space apart.

20. COLOUR

The design should create an even and cohesive colour plan. Sophisticated neutral base compliments textured rugs, cushions and accent furniture. Dark, deep colours create drama which can be used in walls and furniture along with different textures and a tint of colour as a striking feature in the room along with good ambient lighting to enrich the look. Monochrome interiors always deliver a chic and calm result.
