The facility is located in a military town next to the airfield, where the hangar with the world’s largest aircraft, the “Mriya”, stood. The Russian military destroyed 70% of the Lyceum at the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

More than 500 children lost the opportunity to study at their native school, and more than 70 teachers and other employees of the institution were left without a full-time job.

The area of the building after renovation will be 15,000 m2, and 1,000 children will study here (850 lyceum students and 150 preschool students). Teaching will take place according to the latest educational programs and methods. Special attention is paid to the architectural component: it should be a comfortable creative space that will encourage the desire to experiment and learn.

The initiators believe that the project has not so much local as social significance: according to them, the struggle for education is a struggle for the future. After all, it is the children who will create the future of Ukraine.

It is planned that Lyceum No. 2 will allow the development of an effective framework for the successful restoration and renewal of educational institutions throughout the country. It is planned to involve leading experts from the field of pedagogy, children’s psychology, and related fields in order to gather leading experience in the project.

The first stage of work is carried out at the expense of the founders of the fund. As of now, foreign donors have already been involved in the project – but the search for donors and partners for further implementation continues.
