Thus, the building functions as a piece of landscape, forming a foreground to the wooded hill from the road. The vertical rhythms, evolving with the seasons and the users, sequence the building, as the tree trunks give rhythm to the forest.
The college is designed as an urban piece, articulating a new part of the village of Champier by ensuring the covisibility of the equipment with the public space.
Its base is made of translucent or opalescent glass, revealing a modular room, the art room and the entrance hall. The courtyard is open to the esplanade while the half-board interfaces with the main street. The gymnasium, shared with the commune, also contributes to also contributes to the dynamics that such a facility the dynamics that such a facility brings to the village. It has ground floor which communicates with the with the interior street. Outside of school hours, the the gymnasium gives life to the village with a polycarbonate façade that which illuminates the landscape.
