Wooden pallets are used to store and ship things owing to their rigid framework that keeps its contents safe and also due to the ease of transportation. Pallets are essentially crates that are composed of various panels of wood carpentered together. Like many of their other wooden counterparts, it can be reused in a hundred different ways. The following are some ways of reusing it in residences, gardens, and office spaces.
1. Accent Wall | Wooden pallets
Accent walls can be created in living rooms, bedrooms, etc by paneling the wooden pallets as emphasis. Depending on the colour of the wood used, it creates a contrast and enhances the spaces it’s installed in.
2. Bed
The wooden pallets can be stripped down to their parts and the panels can be used to make the bottom of the box of the bed. Using panels can be beneficial in such cases where it could be assembled by oneself.
3. Bookshelf
Considering the size of conventional wooden pallets, bookshelves can be made using panels. The panels can be bolted together to create the entire framework of the bookshelves. Bookshelves made using panels are quite durable.
4. Chair
Panels from wooden pallets can be used to assemble chairs. These chairs can be used as outdoor furniture or when used as an indoor piece, could be accented with pillows.
5. Coffee Table | Wooden pallets
Coffee tables and side tables can be assembled using panels from wooden pallets. Reusing it like this would be an interesting way to spruce up the spaces, such as the image below where the panels have been painted to harmonize with the other elements in the space.
6. Breakfast Table
Breakfast tables can be made using wooden pallets. The panels can be used to assemble the top and sides of the table. In the image below, the panels have been used to make the bar stools/chairs as well.
7. Ceiling Panels
Panels from wooden pallets can be reused to create ceilings in interior spaces. In the following image, panels have been stripped from wooden pallets and bolted together and the colour of the wood accentuates a warm and cozy space.
8. Chest
Wooden pallets can be reused by making chests and boxes for safekeeping valuables. The panels can be carpentered together using different modules to create exciting shapes on the boxes.
9. Clothes Hanger
Holders for hanging clothes, keys, and umbrellas could be created using parts of wooden pallets. Depending on the size of the hanger required, the pieces of the pallets can be shaved off while carpentering and assembled together. There are numerous DIY (Do It Yourself) projects where such products are made reusing panels.
10. Cupboards | Wooden pallets
The front panels on cupboards can be made using panels. The cupboards can be used in kitchens, bedrooms, and is effective usage of panels in storage units.
