11. Alexandra sofa

Alexandra sofa is one of the celebrated pieces by Charles Zana. It is famous for its feminine geometry and sculpture-like looks. The rounded shapes and curved pieces can be redesigned as per space. Due to its features, the sofa becomes the main focus in the room. The inspiration for this sofa is dawn from a large sofa of the ‘70s.

While purchasing the fabric for the sofa is provided as per the choice of the client. But The original sofa is clad in Teddy Mohair velvet by taking inspiration from Jean Royère.
12. Calanque coffee table

The Calanque coffee table is an example of Charles Zana’s love for the Mediterranean Sea. This handmade bronze table is a homage to Calanques. Calanques means the creeks from France. The top of the table resembles the worn-out surfaces of the stones polished due to the wave in the Mediterranean creeks.

The bronze surface reflects the sunlight and creates an illusion of reflection of the sun in the water. The poetic meaning and the sculpture-like appearance make this piece one of the unique works of Charles Zana.
13. Djo armchair

The Djo is an armchair cladded in an Ivory fabric of bouclé wool. A stained lacquered oak piece is used for the feet of the chair.

14. Dm Table Lamp

This piece is a part of David Mallett’s New York salon. During this project, Charles Zana wanted to recreate a Parisian atmosphere. As lighting is an essential part while creating a feeling in the atmosphere Charles Zana started to work on it.
The elegant tube lamp has played a major role while achieving this aim. This handmade piece creates an elegant and luxurious yet warm atmosphere. Other than that if we looked at it from another perspective the lamp looks similar to the skyscrapers, depicting the verticality of New York.

15. Variamen
Variamen is a collection of rugs by architect Charles Zana. As most of the Charles Zana works the essence of tradition is seen through motifs on these carpets. The literal meaning behind the name of this collection is ‘variation’.
The collection is named aptly giving justice to the pieces since the motifs on the rugs comprise a variation in geometric patterns and color gradients.

“The approach reflects what, in my opinion, should be the specificity of French architects: honoring artisanal traditions and techniques while introducing a contemporary spin.”
— Charles Zana
There are also wool rugs in this collection which are woven on a cotton and jute base. The weaving is done on hundred-year-old creel looms.
