The ArchitecTwin system, awarded “Best of Best” at the 2024 Red Dot Awards (Service Design category), is an integrated building management solution based on digital twin technology, developed from an architect’s perspective to make it easier for anyone to manage buildings that were previously managed with complex architectural drawings, documents, and decentralized operations. It was created from an architect’s perspective to make it easier for anyone to manage buildings that were previously managed with complex architectural drawings, documents, and decentralized operations. It is intended to improve the user’s access to information by intuitively visualizing varied facts in 3D space. (‘ArchitecTwin’ – a Digital Twin Solution Created by Architect – Industrial Designers Society of America, n.d.)

Sustainable design and resilient urbanism

Samoo continues its legacy in sustainable design, grounded in decades of experience in environmental simulation and energy-efficient design methodologies from airflow and energy modelling to green-building prototypes, including Green Tomorrow and the Eco Energy R&D Centre. (SAMOO, n.d.-c)

Samoo’s POC in Seongsu balances the industrial past with technological innovation. The project preserves existing structures while integrating technology and brand expression, offering an experimental space where architecture, innovation, and branding converge. The remodelled project preserves the heritage of Seongsu-dong, revitalising the space into a layered experience of old and new. (POC Seongsu : Connecting Architecture, Technology and Brand – Industrial Designers Society of America, n.d.)

High-tech facilities and forward-looking

In August 2025, Samoo published insights into their High-Tech Industrial Facility Design Services, signalling expanding expertise in complex, high-tech facility typologies such as semiconductor or pharmaceutical plants. This is a continuation of their longstanding proficiency in specialised, tech-enabled architecture. (SAMOO, n.d.-f)

The broader context: AI, sustainability, and industry challenges

Reflecting on the broader context, Yongsik Jeong, Vice President of Samoo’s Sustainable Design team, noted that AI has become essential in design practice, with rapid advancements increasing efficiency and enabling new business opportunities, a sentiment shared across the APAC architectural sector. (Autodesk, 2025)

In 2025, Samoo Architects & Engineers will represent the next wave of architectural practice. Through the integration of AI, digital twin operations, sustainable design frameworks, adaptive reuse, and community-centered innovation, they are redefining architectural norms. Guided by Vision 2025, Samoo not only leads but actively shapes a future where design, sustainability, resilience, and technology are inseparable.
