The spatial design is rooted in a system of concentric circles emanating from each column, a thoughtful response to the irregular column placement within the area. This approach creates a fluid layout that intuitively guides visitors from one display to another, fostering a seamless and natural exploration of the space. The circular configuration not only ties the design together but also offers fresh perspectives as visitors move through the boutique.

This circular theme extends to the flooring, subtly directing movement while maintaining a focus on the displayed products. The understated design ensures that the craftsmanship on display takes centre stage. Flexible wall panels, influenced by the intricate patterns of Indian art forms like Kalamkari, introduce depth and character while supporting effortless thematic or seasonal transformations.

A defining element of the boutique is its innovative EPS wall. Made from polystyrene sheets reinforced with an iron net, this system allows quick and versatile construction, including curved forms. Once assembled and supported, the walls are plastered to resemble conventional brickwork, seamlessly blending with the overall aesthetic.

When hangers were installed to display lehengas—each weighing up to 10 kilograms and arranged in clusters—the concentrated weight necessitated additional structural reinforcement. To resolve this, specific sections of the EPS wall were melted using a heat gun, and concrete was poured into the cavities to form robust lintels, ensuring durability and functionality without compromising the design.

Lighting plays a crucial role in shaping the boutique’s atmosphere. A blend of ambient lighting from chandeliers and precise spotlighting achieves a balance between a welcoming ambiance and focused illumination for individual displays.

Each detail within the boutique, from its adaptable layout to the thoughtfully chosen lighting, furniture, and decor, has been designed with meticulous care. The result is a space that exudes warmth and sophistication, celebrating a harmonious marriage of tradition and modernity.
