This project seeks to generate a continuous, fluid space, without corridors. It is a complete reform of the apartment. Given that the apartment has two patios and a single façade, opposite the access, it seems inevitable to create a corridor at the entrance that serves all the rooms until reaching the living room, which must face the street.

The initial focus of the complete apartment renovation seeks to reduce the existing corridor as much as possible.  We turn that “corridor” into a route of continuous, useful spaces that open up and transform as one enters the house. First is a hall with a large built-in wardrobe (also accessible from the laundry room) and access to the guest room. In three steps it opens into a kitchen with a central island that extends into a large dining table. Finally, and in continuity, the space expands into a spacious living room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows (the north orientation does not require solar protection).

Throughout the tour, after the complete reform of the apartment, two walls delimit this changing space. To the left, a wall of wooden slats comes looking for you at the entrance and accompanies you to the living room, curving to allow this dilation of space. To the left, balancing the strength of the wood, its pattern of vertical slats and its curves, a straight and continuous wall accompanies you, paneled in white.

The doors of the rooms and closets are integrated into both walls, allowing that sensation of fluidity, except in the living room, where a white niche is excavated in the wooden wall, marking the end of the route.
