This is the third Humble Grape wine bar, shop and kitchen in London all designed by Trellik Design Studio. A welcoming addition to the local neighbourhood with a space divided into three zones, a retail wine area at entrance, a bar and a conservatory area for dining in the rear.

All areas have seating so that the customer can choose where to seat, whether quietly in the airy conservatory, amongst the wine bottles display in the retail area, or next to the buzzy bar with reclaimed antique timber top and Bejmat green front bar tiles. Cork is heavily used in homage to the ‘Humble’ ethos of the brand and its obvious wine bottles connection but more importantly for its sustainable and tactile properties.

Slabs of corks are used as shelves throughout the space as well as bench seating and table tops to create a warm and cozy atmosphere along with dimmed cork pendants and lighting. Raw plaster is applied to the wall to create a simple palette of material which contrast to the comfort and softness of Kvadrat Raf Simons fabric used in the conservatory banquette seating.

The shopfront incorporates a metal framework feature to display wine bottles to the passerby. Overall, the space is designed to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere with simple palette of materials that will age gracefully, as good wine does.
