A compact space presents a compact challenge. At 850 square feet, the goal of The Sorrento was to create an open, spacious and expansive feel in the living space. The design brief was to have a breakfast counter for a quick bite, a dining for 4, a home office and a cosy bedroom for nights of beauty sleep.
Project Name: The Sorrento
Architect Name: Summerhaus D’zign
Special attention was given to the living area, complementing various materials and textures with lighter shades of colors to achieve visual expansion.
The soothing light colour palette in the living room is immediately accented by the marbled wall and beautifully textured Sibu laminates at each side.
Upon entering the house on the left, a laminated bookmatched feature comes across as an art piece welcoming visitors into the house.
A breakfast counter cladded with quartz stands beside the sofa to allow the homeowner to enjoy a morning cup of coffee while watching the TV.
The common bedroom is converted into a home office with a refreshing splash of green painted on the wall matched with the customised table and cabinets in front of it.
