When the newlywed couple first opened the door to their apartment, they were stepping into a space filled with the quiet anticipation of a new beginning: a canvas on which their life together was yet to unfold. The design responds to this sense of possibility through a fresh material palette, layered with vitality, warmth, and character.

At the heart of the home is a sculptural expression of craftsmanship. Solid oak has been carved into a contemporary rhythm of thick and fine flutes, forming a striking panel that anchors the living and dining areas. The tactile detail returns in the master bedroom, establishing a subtle visual language across the home, while warm oak veneer extends through the other spaces as a unifying element. Against this, expanses of white marble flooring introduce a sense of clarity and quiet luxury. Its reflective surface captures and diffuses natural light, creating a considered balance between the richness of timber and the timeless quality of stone.
The living room establishes an atmosphere of easy conviviality. A blush-pink sectional anchors the seating area, complemented by dining chairs upholstered in warm tan. The palette evokes the celebrations and everyday rituals that will gradually inhabit the home, from intimate dinners and shared conversations to gatherings with family and friends. Abstract artworks punctuate the interiors with moments of colour and spontaneity. Whether a bold acrylic composition or a delicate watercolour, each work has been selected to engage with its surroundings rather than simply occupy a wall.
The planning reflects an evolving way of living. A four-bedroom configuration was reworked into a three-bedroom home, allowing the master suite to expand into a more generous private retreat, complete with its own lounge and walk-in wardrobe. Recognising the demands of hybrid work, integrated study tables were introduced into every bedroom, creating dedicated work zones without compromising the character or intimacy of the rooms.
Colour provides each bedroom with its own distinct identity. Cheerful yellow brings optimism to the guest room, while deep burgundy lends the sister’s bedroom a sense of richness and depth. In the master bedroom, muted off-whites create a quieter, more intimate atmosphere. Set against the consistent foundation of oak and marble, these individual hues bring variation without disrupting the overall cohesion of the home.
Art plays an integral role in shaping this character. From the botanical exuberance of Deepak Kumar’s plant-inspired works to the delicate circular florals in the master lounge, the collection has been curated in dialogue with the palette and mood of each room. Rather than functioning as decorative additions, the artworks introduce movement, personality, and a youthful energy into the interiors.
The apartment brings together material, colour and art as elements of a shared beginning. Oak introduces texture and rhythm; marble brings luminosity and permanence; while blush, burgundy, tan, and yellow lend the interiors their varied emotional register. Together, they create a home that feels personal from the outset: an environment designed not simply for two people to live in, but to evolve alongside them as they begin a new chapter together.
