A young couple with three children imagined their home as a canvas of colour, print, and playful sophistication: quirky yet timeless, dramatic yet elegant. The design unfolds in a maximalist spirit, where textured taupe walls and dark oak patterned flooring create a grounding shell for bold accents, eclectic furniture, and statement lighting.

The living room, extending into a balcony with sweeping views, becomes the nucleus of the home, dissolving the threshold between indoors and outdoors. Arched glass doors add charm, linking the French-style kitchen and a jewel-toned bar to the main living area, ensuring every transition carries surprise and character.
Each bedroom is crafted with distinct identity: the master’s vintage opulence with maroon accents and crystal chandeliers, the son’s industrial den with brick and concrete finishes, and the daughters’ shared room infused with playful wallpaper and bold grey-red accents. Corridors themselves become experiences, animated by brass animal masks, vintage mirrors, and dramatic lighting.
The bar emerges as an intimate jewel-box swathed in deep burgundy tones, dramatic yet cosy for gatherings. The den evolves into a multi-functional haven, layered with concrete textures, a towering library wall, and a quirky fireplace for evenings of reading or conversation. Finally, the balcony is reimagined as a seamless indoor-outdoor extension, softening boundaries while amplifying openness.
What could have been chaotic is carefully composed: mood boards curated cohesion, neutral foundations tempered vibrant hues, and clever planning with sliding pocket doors that allowed spaces to expand and contract fluidly. Concealed storage ensures functionality never interrupts beauty, while curated accessories, from embroidered artworks to tasseled stools, stitch together a story of abundance balanced by refinement. This is a home where maximalism is not excess, but expression; layered, vibrant, and elegantly timeless.
