The client sought a curated design that merged art and functionality, transforming the space into a sophisticated showcase of modern craftsmanship with practical, purposeful elements. The design scheme prioritizes balance between modernity and tradition, boldness and subtlety, and art and function, making the project both visually stunning and highly liveable.
The living room, acting as the home’s focal locus, features earthy tones, warm wood elements, and an industrial-inspired balustrade for the staircase that looks like pixels. Abstract art and sculptural pieces add sophistication, while the red hanging lamp, Crimson Cascade, serves as a standout decorative element. ‘Natures Abstractions’, an artwork in the living room, features a collage of black-and-white photographs and abstract patterns, blending organic textures and geometric shapes. Set against a warm wood background, it harmonizes nature and design, inviting viewers to explore its serene and dynamic essence. Right next to it is another art installation made entirely of a leather jacket, characterized by an intricate pattern and design. Displayed on a stand, the upper section of this installation features a tightly woven, honeycomb-like texture, while the lower section transitions into long, flowing strips of leather. The craftsmanship and attention to detail showcases it as a contemporary piece reflective of the versatility and aesthetic appeal of leather as a medium.
The dining room highlights bold patterns and colours with a striped wall, statement art, and traditional-style furniture, creating a balanced fusion of modern and classic design. The kitchen contrasts these bolder spaces with mint-green cabinetry, marble finishes, and brass accents, exuding a tranquil and luxurious vibe.
The Pixel design element adds both texture and a sense of movement to the staircase. The contrast between the dark material and the bright brass elements gives the flight of stairs an elegant yet modern feel, transforming it into a statement piece within the space. A beautiful Turkish carpet adorns the wall alongside the staircase. Preserved and framed, it becomes a unique piece of art, adding cultural and historical value to the overall energy of the space.
In the master bedroom, a sleek leather headboard pairs with a brass and stone slat wall, while geometric patterns and minimalist décor create a serene yet dynamic atmosphere. The parents’ bedroom embraces vibrancy with bold artwork and a striking black-and-white headboard, complemented by soft pillows and wooden textures, creating a modern art gallery-like feel.
Outdoor spaces under a covered patio feature clean white columns, traditional latticework, and contemporary furniture for a balanced mix of styles. Every room feels curated with innovative lighting, diverse textures, and cohesive colour palettes. The project celebrates creative spatial planning and artistic integration, resulting in a unified, artful living experience.
The material palette for this project combines natural and industrial elements to create a sophisticated and cohesive aesthetic. Wood, leather, and wool bring warmth and organic textures, while metal, brass, and ceramics add a modern, refined touch.
