A place surrounded by palm trees, mountains, and deserts has a rich history. It is presented in an amazing architectural form designed by E. Stewart Williams for client Frank Sinatra, creating a feeling of comfort and a new emotion towards living. In 1947, Sinatra became the celebrity who settled in Palm Springs to make this rich site liveable, which is accessible from nearby Los Angeles. This location is one of the residential projects for the architect who made efforts to come up with a solution to shield them from the camera and gossip from Hollywood. To give it a more climactic design, Williams tried his best to convince the client to choose it instead of making a grand Georgian-style property. This property attracted more celebrities to build their houses, relaxed places, or party venues. Many of them, including Al Jolson, Jack Benny, and Cary Grant, chose to build in the neighbourhood, creating a rich and calm atmosphere that eventually became a Movie Colony.
The property spans 4,500 square feet, including four bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and a Pool House that comfortably accommodates 8 guests. Visitors will fall in love with all the luxurious amenities, including the famous 8-foot deep, piano-shaped pool, which provides a focal point to the site. The property also offers a rich patio for lounging and entertaining outdoors. The main residence is connected by a veranda with square holes on its top around the pool. This place is used as a set for Joan Crawford’s 1950 film The Damned Don’t Cry. It was captured by architectural Photographer Julius Shulman, whose images became the posters for California living during the 1950s and 1960s. This property is available to book for weddings, events, vacations, film, Photography shoots, dinner parties, private tours, etc. As an annual celebration of the city’s architectural heritage, it is open to look around during Palm Springs Modernism Week.

Featuring a seamless blend of interior and outdoor life, the architecture emphasises the most of Palm Springs’ pleasant climate. E. Stewart Williams masterfully integrates this concept into Twin Palms, notably through the piano-shaped pool that serves as an extension of the living area.
