The restaurant is the fourth venue of Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams – the couple behind the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant Kudu, cocktail bar Smokey Kudu and art gallery- cum- private dining Curious Kudu.

Long time collaborator A- nrd studio curated the interior design of the venue, paying homage to the timeless charm of prohibition- era steakhouses.

Stepping through the velvet mulberry drapes, the focal point of the venue is the bustling open kitchen. The deep forest green counter with f luted art deco details and red marble countertop accommodates four high seats for a prime view on the charcoal grill.

The sides of the venue are embellished with 1930 ‘ s inspired sofas seatings in red oak and ice green velvet. These are aligned with bespoke angular mirrors and a row of arched holophane glass lamps bringing an intimate glow to the tables.

A- nrd studio focussed on a sustainable approach, reusing and repairing the existing building fabric and stripping back unnecessary elements. The concrete and brick walls were left bare, accented only by a tiled niche and the gloss black ceiling moulding  accentuating the existing architecture.

The result is a contemporary interpretation of historical steakhouses where traditional plush materials and decorative detailing fuses with raw, textural f inishes.
