The mighty glass shard of about 1,270 feet is higher than the Empire State Building, securing seventh position in the tall buildings list of New York. Bill Pedersen, the building’s lead architect, describes the angled, slanted vertical as “heroic”, it makes a dynamic statement on the skyline of New York with its slightly smaller, slightly-older sibling. The tower boasts panoramic views, soaring lobby, high-end terraces and LEED Gold Certification with two blocks proximity to Penn Station. The tenants who signed leases in November are Warner Media, KKR, Wells Fargo Securities, DNB, and Facebook. 1,100-square-foot-high observation deck from the building pinnacle, is set to open in early 2020.

2. The Spiral

This masterpiece by BIG, will soar higher than the Chrysler Building in the New York skyline. The tower’s feature unique, classic Manhattan step-backs that taper and twist towards the sky thus, allowing the light and air to reach the streets underneath. The magnificent views of the Midtown, Central Park, the Financial District and Hudson River favors the building identity. The adjacent 7-train station will ensure a smooth commute for its inmates, who will enliven the forlorn Far West neighborhood.

50 Hudson Yard by Foster + Partners will be the fourth largest commercial tower when completed in 2022. The tower will reset the commercial expectations and will set a new standard for the workplace with flooding natural light, amenity and panoramic large sky-laden lobbies. This will be one of the few buildings on Manhattan’s West Side with the ability to accommodate more than 500 people per floor. Almost 15 floors are leased out to the world’s leading investment management firm, BlackRock, who will locate their corporate headquarters here at 50 Hudson Yards.

4. 35 Hudson Yards

This New York’s fifth-tallest apartment building features the highest residences at the emerging Hudson Yard neighborhood. This mixed-use Manhattan West development is a supertall since it rises above the 300 meter threshold. The building exercises sleek minimalism, with a pristine, tapestry of blue skies and passing clouds reflected by the curved dazzling glass façade, making scenes from the evening Manhattan sky. The floor plates are tall and columnless, the vaulted lobby opens to the future Moynihan Station, as well as a public promenade in the middle of the complex.

6. Two Manhattan West

Two Manhattan West at Ninth Avenue and 31st Street, is next to its older sibling the One Manhattan West. This building will also face the 2-acre promenade that will enhance the public realm of the complex.

The luxury enjoyed by the residents are club feature lounges, game rooms, foot fitness centre, business suits which all roar the panoramic views from the 50th and 51st floor.

Like its fellow at the intersection at 34th Street, this designer building will leave a bold mark on the city’s skyline, rising without setbacks at the base and tapers to a flat-topped tiara.

9. Hudson Yards

This glass shard dominated the city’s skyline between 2016 and 2018 was a herald of even greater things to come. It slopes in the opposite direction from its peer 30 Hudson Yards and the both seem to be dancing with one another, with the ever massive Shops at Hudson Yard between them. The tower has absolute dominance over the High Line as it stands at the principal north-south run, and acts a gateway for Chelsea developments. The building is sometimes casually called Coach Tower, all because of its tenants which includes VaynerMedia, Stuart Weitzman, Boston Consulting Group, L’Oreal, Kate Spade, Intercept Pharmaceuticals, Guardian, VaynerMedia, and Intersection and Sidewalk Labs.

55 Hudson Yards boasts gigantic panoramic views, tall ceilings and large floor plates, and all amenities set for a modern office building. This environmentally friendly building is LEED certified Gold. And has adjacency to the Park, Shops and the 7 train station for smooth commute of inmates. This contrasts with its glass walled neighbors with a façade that had the windows within a matte metal grid giving it a peculiar appearance. The major tenant is Facebook which completed its three-building “campus”.
