Le Corbusier’s statement that a house is a machine for living and Mies’ saying “less is more” are probably the most frequently quoted architectural phrases.
Both have produced more misunderstandings than reflections in their long and by no means finished history.
If we generate new statement that we intend to design a machine for the machine a wide field of possibilities opens in front of us, proving, as so many times before, that architecture can be practiced outside of usual box of traditional experiences.
