Santiago Calatrava (born 1951 in Valencia) is a Spanish architect, structural engineer and sculptor whose white, skeletal structures — the Oculus in New York, the Turning Torso in Malmö, Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences — blur the line between building and moving organism.
