For less than $100, you can buy enough décor to finish most of your decorating.

Local artists can produce high-quality work. Art shows that showcase the work of local artists will often have sketches, photographs, paintings, and multi-media artwork that will be for sale once the exhibit ends. Most are reasonably priced and will help starving, local artists to continue to pursue their passion as well as support your community.

Garage Sales

Garage sales are a great place to find different types of décor. If you are looking for paintings or framed prints, you will often find a gold mine at your neighborhood garage sales. When people are cleaning out their attics, closets, and other storage areas, they will sell items for pennies on the dollar. You may find a great piece of art and be able to buy it for less than $10. Shop around! You never know what you may find and if you do find a bargain, you will have enough money left over to buy lunch!

Before you head out to go shopping, try to make a list of possible purchases. This will prevent you from spending too much and not having a place for everything you buy. Auctions tend to be addicting and before you know it, you have more than you need!

Before you know it, your apartment will be decorated and you will still have a little money in the bank. Take a look around your community. You never know what is out there until you look!
