The redesign of the 8,000 sq ft beach house in Goa is truly remarkable! Maintaining our distinctive style while embracing the expansive sea views from Coco beach was a rewarding challenge. Collaborating once again with Richa and Anuj Malhan from Delhi ensured a shared vision for this coastal retreat.

Originally conceived as a typical urban dwelling, we reimagined the villa with a distinct Goan Portuguese flavor. Despite facing challenges like heavy rain and moisture during the nine-month project, the end result exceeded expectations, delighting the homeowners with its ethereal interiors.
Elevating the space, we utilized half of the stilt area to create a relaxed dining room, bar lounge, and courtyard. Embraced by lush greenery and furnished with bespoke pieces, the bar lounge exudes laid-back elegance, featuring a leather bar cabinet from Trunks Company. Throughout the home, custom-made furniture and accessories from Beyond Designs complement the serene Mediterranean-inspired palette of whites and blues.
Maximizing the stunning sea vistas, we strategically planned two sea-facing bedrooms on the lower level, each with its own balcony and outdoor bathtub secluded by natural canopies. Ascending to the next floor, a voluminous double-height formal living room captures the essence of coastal living with a carved wood feature wall and nautical-themed furnishings.
Continuing upward, the homeowners’ suite offers a tranquil retreat with its soft blue hues and four-poster bed. Notable details like ornate wooden mirrors and a locally inspired striped stone floor in the ensuite bathroom add to the bespoke charm.
On the uppermost floor, a wooden deck provides a perfect vantage point to soak in the panoramic sea views, while an infinity pool seamlessly merges with the azure waters. Throughout the residence, a zesty mustard orange staircase serves as a vibrant centerpiece, connecting the four levels adorned with cherished family photographs and artworks collected during the homeowners’ travels.
