Tailored to suit the lifestyle of its bachelor owner, the apartment showcases a clean, elegant, and unobtrusive design, incorporating eye-catching luxury elements. The design directive was to maintain simplicity and style without overwhelming the space. With a deep understanding of the client’s sensibilities and lifestyle gained from designing three residences over the last seven years, the home is staff-operated, emphasizing low-maintenance and utilitarian interiors.
Upon entering the private elevator, a vestibule adorned with a sleek console and a vibrant Radha Krishan painting sets the tone. Designed for entertaining, the living-dining and lounge space seamlessly flows, catering to the client’s love for hosting friends and family. A dedicated lounge area with surround-sound system, featuring a stunning backdrop of matt finished marble with rose gold-finished steel, creates an impressive TV viewing space. Stylish leather sofas, an accent chair in deep green, and centre tables with red agate stone tops and brass inlay offer luxurious seating.
A hand-cut glass console with a petrified wood top serves as a striking focal point between the lounge and living room. The adjacent formal seating area, featuring regal blue sofas and a tasteful mix of colours and prints in cushions, encourages conversations. A carpet and alabaster stone chandelier add luxury, while the ceiling design and neutral palette provide a natural backdrop for design elements.
The dining area, separated by a custom-designed metal screen, boasts a marble-topped table in shades of blue, adding simple yet luxurious notes to the room. The mandir combines modern geometric design with ethnic Indian work on the walls, featuring a stone backdrop for a layered finish.
In the master bedroom, a herringbone-patterned wooden floor creates a warm ambiance, complemented by massive windows allowing natural light. Wooden and brass wall panelling adds richness, and a sleek TV unit with a dresser completes the space. The master washroom features stunning onyx on floors and walls, with tiger eyes in a chevron pattern for added drama.
