The home is much like an iPod. As one approaches, it is at once a surreal object standing like a wall. The slit beckons and then with the slightest movement opens and invites one in.

The simple path divides the lower level of garage from the dwelling place above. The split home has bridges all in glass to separate indoor and outdoor times of day. One is always crisscrossing and rising with the sun. The southern side is cascaded with solar streams of light all winter while it dwindles into shade with silver fins in summer’s heat. The roof is terrace of never ending vistas that make one wonder at the vistas and deer cannot eat the food gardens. Why live inside at all. Below is Travis Price’s Haiku that guides the design.
