The client desired his space to have majorly an Indian classical aesthetic. The client brief was rather simple, something every Indian household desires: formal spaces for the visitors and informal spaces for the residents, comfortable and lavish bedrooms, the only deviation was the desired green seating space inside the house as a play-zone for kids and seating area for the elderly of the house with a view of the outside. The clients, originating from Rajasthan wanted some elements that would make the house look like ahaveli. It is then the design team at ASA decided to culminate both the rich classical and contemporary classical design for this residence.

Upon entering the residence, the rich marble inlay flooring is the highlight which catches the eye of the visitor. The formal seating space is right next to the entrance foyer, designed in rich classical interiors, adding to the space are the wall mouldings and details, making the space look lavish yet comfortable for the house guests. Moving ahead is the double-height family living space with mother-of-pearls feature wall making the look of the entire house regal and gigantic. The double height ceiling resembles the look of a haveli but still blends in with the set theme. The dining space is placed near the kitchen. Upon entering the dining area, one feels the eminence of the space. The rich-classical theme is what keeps up with the visitor even in the art-pieces and vases. The details in the dining table as well as the chairs of the dining area is intriguing and elementary.

The gallery right next to the family living area leads to the bedrooms. On the ground floor are three bedrooms, one being the guest bedroom, then the parents’ bedroom along with the first master bedroom of the house. In terms of area, the guest bedroom is the smallest, followed by the parent’s bedroom and then the most spacious is the master bedroom. The lavish blue interiors in the master bedroom is what makes it different from all the other rooms. This bedroom is calming in nature whereas projects the individuality of the resident. The spacious bathroom areas speak for the royal nature where the mosaic walls area highlights and at the same time makes the space look calm.

Upon moving to the first floor, which house two bedrooms, the seating area and the home theatre. The staircase design and well as the design of the hand-rails are to blend in with the theme. The wall mouldings and the art-pieces kept and installed differentiates it from the other ordinary houses. The second master bedroom as compared to the first one is a little subtle in nature, majorly following the palette of white and golden shades. Whereas the second bedroom on the first floor is the kids’ room, where the main highlight is the marble work on the walls. The green area on the first floor, with indoor fountains makes the entire residence look spacious and lively.
